CHNC challenge 67: white Christmas

Thank you so much for all the wonderful entries for last week's challenge - lots of 'regulars' joining in and some new folk who have just found CHNC. And did you notice that there are now just over 400 followers - thank you, everyone, for your support - this blog wouldn't be possible without you. And a few more have found their way to CHNC's facebook page - I would love to see more of you there - please 'like' it if you visit.

Before I get on to today's challenge, I need to let you know the winner of challenge 66. Unfortunately, there could only be one winner and this is the result of using random.org:

Number 28: Lorraine A
who shared this lovely card:

Congratulations, Lorraine! Please email me at hazelharris@ntlworld.com so I can arrange for you to claim your CD-rom from Ooh La La Creations.

Before announcing today's challenge, I'd like to wish you all a Happy Easter weekend.

Now we move on to today's challenge:

Challenge 67

Today's challenge is 'white Christmas' - I'll leave the interpretation up to you - you might want to go for a 'white on white' theme or a snow scene ... whatever 'white Christmas' makes you think of.

This week's challenge is being sponsored by Di's Digi Downloads- the randomly-chosen winner will be able given a $10 voucher to spend - just click on the link and feast your eyes on the super images - you will not be disappointed!
This is a little bit about Di who produces such gorgeous digital images:

I have been drawing since a child and studied graphics at College many years ago, I now work as a Medical photographer part time but my love was always drawing. I started cardmaking about 4yrs ago when I bought my daughter a cardmaking kit which we did together, but I’m afraid I got the bug! My daughter preferred scrapbooking. I then started looking online at other blogs and this then became my passion and I loved sharing my cards with likeminded people.
I love stamping and loved finding images, but sometimes I could not find what I wanted so I started to draw myself.
This then has become my second addiction and I have never looked back, I love thinking of new images, and its just fabulous to see others take them and make them into beautiful works of art. Long may it continue!

For my card I've used a Di's digi download called 'to both of you', coloured it with copics and mounted on to white pearlised card which was then mounted on to a piece of white embossed with a dots embossing folder  - you can read more about my card on my regular crafting blog My Crafty Outlook here

And here's another one - more details here on My Crafty Outlook:

Now it's over to you. As usual, you can use any materials, any techniques, as long as the end result is a Christmas card - and this week please follow the theme of 'white Christmas' - however you want to interpret that.

I look forward to seeing what you come up with for this challenge - please add a link to your blog post (not your blog, but the actual post where your card can be found) by 22:00 UK time Friday 13 April.  Please mention my blog and create a link within the post for your creation.

You can enter as many times as you wish (a good way to build up your stock of Christmas cards) and also link to any other challenges that allow you to do so, but new work only, please.

A new challenge will be set on 14 April.

Please add your link to inlinkz. If by any chance it disappears, please leave a comment with the link to your blog post and I will make sure it is added.

If you haven't done so already, please become a follower and grab my bright pink button to post on your sidebar and help continue to spread the word about this challenge blog - thank you.

  1. Well done to Lorraine - such a lovely card I think it would have been a real winner without random selection :)

Ha, ha - I see what you meant about this week's challenge Hazel - but I might just be all snowed out! Joke, I'll be back ASAP with a card - just about to type up the snippets playground roll for this week - I could be some time as they say :)

  4. Two lovely cards. Hazel and Lorraine. I am getting a bit worried about all the Christmas cards I have made so far this year. With the price of postage, am I going to be able to afford to send them out, or will the stash I have converted into cards, to use it up, now going to need an extra box to store them for the next ten years? Problem! xx Maggie #1

  6. Hi Hazel - still grinning about the little duck on your snippets card :)

I'm a bit earlier this week - whoop, whoop! Really enjoying your challenges, it's motivating me to build up a little stock of cards ahead of the usual panic.
